A user story describes a product need from the point of view of the person who will use it. It is like explaining what you need help with before someone designs a solution.
For example: “As a first-time visitor, I want to see what the app does so I can decide whether to try it.” This gives a team the person, need, and reason to consider.
A user story is a starting point for discussion, not a complete technical plan. The team still needs to agree on what a useful result should look like.
