Playful illustration is a style of drawing that uses friendly shapes, characters, or small stories to make a page feel welcoming. A picture might show a character finding their way through a task or celebrate a small success.
For example, an empty task list could show a friendly character and a gentle suggestion for what to do next. The picture adds warmth while the words explain the action.
Illustrations should support the message, not hide important controls or information. A page can feel friendly without turning every screen into a cartoon.
