A route is a path an app uses to decide what to show or do when a request comes in. An endpoint is a specific address where a service can receive a request. The words are related and sometimes used in overlapping ways.
A website route such as `/about` can lead to an About page. A service endpoint might accept a request to save a message.
The address alone does not explain every behavior; the app also decides which requests it accepts and what response to send. Clear routes help people and software find the intended destination.
