Position describes where an item sits on a webpage in relation to other items or the page itself. It is like choosing where to place a chair in a room: beside a table, against a wall, or in the middle.
Most page items follow the natural order of the content. A designer can also place a small badge in the corner of a card or keep a notice fixed on screen.
Use special positioning only when it helps. Moving items freely can cause them to overlap or appear in a confusing order on smaller screens.
