Pagination divides a long list of items into smaller pages. It is like splitting a thick book into chapters so someone can find a manageable part instead of facing every page at once.
Search results may show numbered pages with Next and Previous controls. This lets people move through a large set in clear steps and return to a particular page.
Show which page is selected and make the controls easy to understand. For lists that should keep adding items as someone scrolls, a “load more” button may be more natural than numbered pages.
