HTTP methods are short names that tell a server what a web request is trying to do. When your browser talks to a website, it might use `GET` to ask for information or `POST` to send new information, such as a form submission.
Think of them like different instructions on a message: “show me this,” “send this,” or “remove this.” Other methods can update or delete information. The method gives the request its meaning; it does not guarantee the server will allow or successfully complete the action.
